Welcome to the pages of my life. As I sit here at 82, reflecting on the journey that has brought me to this point, I am overwhelmed with gratitude and a deep sense of purpose. Through the highs and lows, the triumphs and tribulations, I have realized that life is a beautiful tapestry of experiences that shape us in ways we could never imagine. When I left my home in Germany and ventured to America in 1969, I had no idea what the future held. All I knew was that my passion for technology burned brightly, and I was determined to make my mark in this ever-evolving field. Little did I know that this decision would set the stage for a life filled with unexpected twists and turns.
For thirty years, I dedicated myself to a career in a large company in Philadelphia, eventually becoming Chief Information Officer. This position challenged me, pushed me to my limits, and taught me invaluable lessons about perseverance and resilience. But it was not without its share of hardships and failures. Life has a funny way of throwing obstacles in our path. It tests our resolve, pushes us to our breaking point, and sometimes knocks us down. But the accurate measure of our character lies not in how many times we fall but in how many times we rise again. I have learned that failure is not the end but a steppingstone towards success.
Throughout my life, I have faced hardships that seemed impossible. From living through war to finding myself in refugee camps, I have had to start over and rebuild my life from nothing more times than I can count. And yet, through it all, I have emerged stronger, wiser, and more determined than ever.
Family has always been the anchor that keeps me grounded. They have been my source of strength and my reason for never giving up.
